Good morning! Looking into studying abroad to Finland or Norway next semester. Its about the same price as Humboldt and Norway is even cheaper! Super excited

First week is over! Back to school tomorrow, it's gonna be a heavy semester just because of all the reading, but I still think I'll enjoy all of classes/professors. Any book recommendations for books covering religion/religious studies/etc.?

Sorry for the lack of photos, my phone has been stubborn. Love my classes! I haven't been feeling too well so hopefully that improves for this weekend.

1st/2nd days

I've been to all of my classes and my professors are fantastic. I'm really looking forward to all that I will learn. However, I won't be too excited about the reading; 12 books is a bit much! I've found the greatest and most welcoming friends. Some of my finals are optional, online, and open-note. Will update more soon :)

Beginnings

My roommate is super awesome! I start school tomorrow and I'm pretty excited. I've been having a great time here and its already better than I expected.

I start classes in a few days and some of my friends are in my classes. This whole move has gone much better than expected. Also, the people who hang out in the smoking gazebo are the nicest.

Lots of firsts

My parents left to go back home today and it was really hard to see them go. I attended a freshman orientation/ice cream social and made a few new friends and many acquaintances. I ate a 25 cent salad from the dining hall and went to the school's basketball game. Both the boys and girls team won! Woohoo!

Day 4

Today we traveled up to Trinidad, Clam Beach, downtown Arcata and downtown Eureka!

Day 3

Today was alllll redwoods. We spotted deer, fluffy sheep, regular sheep, and cows. Then we went to a lighthouse and climbed down a really steep cliff where we found many harbor seals and took great pictures! We also went to the drive-thru redwood tree, but my dad's truck was too big to fit through the tree. More photos soon!

Day 2

Today was great! We revisited the elephant seals, stopped at numerous beaches, hiked, saw migrating gray whales, found sand dollars, and navigated our way through San Francisco due to the Golden Gate Bridge being closed!

Day 1

Lancaster to San Simeon! The Elephant Seal Rookery was beyond amazing; there were many, many screeching babies!

Last day

I had a great 18th birthday yesterday and today is my last day in town! Tomorrow morning I'm outta here

2015

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so happy 2014 is over and that the new year is here. This will be the year of change and hopefully happiness! Leaving for school in 9 days and my birthday is in 7 days!
